Get to know me

My name is Kathleen! My fitness journey started when I was in high school, I had just decided to stop playing sports. I wanted something to work towards and something to stay active. At the begining I started with group fitness classes. I tried many different classes and formats at many studios. While trying out different places I quickly learned that I loved strength training. From here I decided I wanted to learn more and more about how to build strength. I had lots of help from my older sister and her husband. They both helped me with my form, getting me comfortable in the gym, and most importantly how to have fun with it.

After I graduated, I moved to Lexington, KY to start studying kinesiology (exercise science) at the University of Kentucky. My freshman year at UK, I joined their fitness program called Fit Academy. Fit Academy was a program that took you through the process of getting your personal trainer certification. The mentors in the program helped me with learning the knowledge of becoming a trainer, but also gave me hands on experience with real clients.

After getting my certification, I was offered a position to be a trainer for UK Campus Recreation. I got the chance to work with many different clients, who were all fun and exciting in their own way.

After working as a trainer for them for a semester, they gave me another opportunity to become a group fitness instructor as well for their fitness program. They encouraged and helped me become a LesMills BodyPump instructor!

After years of working one-on-one with clients and coaching various group classes, I’ve gained extensive experience with diverse individuals. Now that I’ve returned to Fishers, IN, I’m excited to start my own business dedicated to helping others discover their best selves!
